Slot and table games content supplier Habanero’s real-money games catalogue has just gone live in Germany. The operator also stated that Germany is set to become “one of Europe’s most important markets.”
Habanero went live under Germany’s newly regulated framework on October 15, the day that its online gaming market formally opened itself to a transition period. The move comes before the market officially opens in July 2021.
For now, operators can participate with the market so long as they adhere to the new regulatory measures. Those ignoring the new regulations will face potential exclusion from future official licensing operations.
The new guidelines include max win, reality check functionality, monthly deposit caps, five-second spin intervals, and maximum stake limits together with the removal of progressive jackpots and autoplay. It is said that this feature was introduced to promote better social responsibility and minimize gambling-related problems.
Habanero was able to secure entry into the country last month after its social casino offering went live with Löwen Play, a Schleswig-Holstein licensed operator.
“Habanero’s world class portfolio has already been hugely successful with our social casino outlet, so we are thrilled to introduce players to its celebrated real-money catalogue,” Tal Zamstein, Löwen Play’s Digital Unit managing director, said.
“Recent months have seen the studio further strengthen its position among Europe’s fastest-growing suppliers, and we have no doubt that it will continue to attract new audiences going forward,” he added.
Meanwhile Arcangelo Lonoce, European head of business development at Habanero, commented:
“Germany is set to become one of Europe’s most important markets in the coming years, so its fantastic that our hit games went live on the day its regulatory framework came into effect.”
Lonoce added, “Our partnership with Löwen Play has been of strong mutual benefit, and we anticipate that the company will continue to go from strength to strength in Germany and beyond.”
