Gambling software provider Microgaming announced that it will be funding the Gordon Moody Association to support families receiving therapy for problem gambling through its PlayItForward CSR program.
The Gordon Moody Association, with almost five decades of experience in providing support to individuals who need it most, offers a variety of treatment services, ranging from retreat and counselling programs to residential treatment centers and relapse prevention housing.
“Collaborating with the likes of Microgaming and the wider industry is integral to what we do,” Rob Mabbett, head of growth at Gordon Moody Association, said.
“On behalf of the team at Gordon Moody Association, we would like to thank Microgaming for their generous support and for all the good work they are doing in the space of CSR and responsible gambling. The donation from Microgaming PlayItForward will go towards a comfort fund. It will also help to assist families physically, emotionally, and mentally to find peace of mind while their loved ones access therapy for problem gambling,” he added.
Microgaming’s PlayItForward has, so far, supported dozens of charities, including organizations like Motiv8 and YGAM, which focuses on preventing gambling-related harm.
“At Microgaming, we strive to promote and support a safe, responsible environment for our customers and wider communities, which is why engaging and collaborating with charities such as Gordon Moody Association is incredibly important to us,” Kimberly Broad, Microgaming director of compliance, said.
“Gordon Moody Associaiton plays a key role in our community, providing individuals with much needed support and care in treating and minimizing the harm that can be caused by problem gambling. We are delighted to help support them and hope that this donation will go some way towards helping the charity continue the incredible work they do,” she added.
