Playtech confirms plans to open first US live casino studio in Michigan

Leading igaming and sports betting supplier Playtech has confirmed that it will be soon opening its first live casino in the US after it was granted a multi-year lease at a site in the city of Southfield, Michigan.

The studio, which will be connected to Playtech’s flagship studio in Riga, Latvia, through vido technology, will aid in carrying out Playtech’s growth strategy in the US.

Playtech is expecting to move into the location in the coming months after fit-out work, despite not having a specific date yet due to uncertainties caused by the novel coronavirus. The site will showcase bespoke areas dedicated to specific operator clients, and networked tables.

According to a Playtech spokesperson, the company will be able to upgrade its facilities at the studio as the company extends its live entertainment and game show content offering for the iGaming market in Michigan and other regulated states in the US.
