Leading igaming games provider Wazdan has been shortlisted at the inaugural CasinoBeats Game Developer Awards under the Game Retro-Style category for its hit slot offer Telly Reels.
The new awards are part of the wider CasinoBeats Summit, hosted in Malta on July 14 to 15. It aims to award the best in the business in the key elements of game development, including artwork, theme, sound, and more.
Telly Reels brings a classic 80s TV dinner experience to the slot world. It offers players small screen nostalgia in search of wins. The game, which is set inside an old school TV, also comes with a neat side panel that fills up with stars and rewards players with Telly Bonus Spins. Arranging five sliders on the panel in a line also triggers a Mini Telly Bonus. On top of this, there is a Free Spins round with a colorful Wheel of Fortune that grants players with a wide range of wins, including Multipliers, Free Spins, Random Wilds, and Infinite Multiplier when triggered by three Scatters.
Despite the game’s ‘retro’ feel, it is designed to be mobile-first, showcasing Wazdan’s ability to combine a classic theme with modern technology.
This nomination comes after several milestones for the igaming provider, including the awarding of its New Jersey Transactional Waiver as well as its entry into Denmark for the first time.
“We’re extremely proud to be nominated for the Game Retro-Style category at the upcoming CasinoBeats Game Developer Awards,” Andrzej Hyla, Wazdan’s Chief Commercial Officer, said.
“The work that goes into creating each and every game is clear and we’re very pleased that the hard work is being recognized by the wider industry. Fingers crossed on the night and congrats to all nominated,” he added.
